A little bit about Glenreagh
The village of Glenreagh is on the north coast of NSW 15km west of Woolgoolga, 40km south of Grafton and 40km north west of Coffs Harbour.
Glenreagh has a dynamic connection to its timber heritage, with its beautiful original dwellings and its annual celebration of this most beautiful and sustainable material.
Set alongside the beautiful Orara River and overlooked by magnificent sandstone ranges, much of which is State Forest, Glenreagh is historically a timber town. Even today many of the original timber dwellings still stand. Each year the town hosts the Glenreagh Timber Festival in celebration of its rich woody heritage.
Facilities in Glenreagh include:
Golden Dog Hotel (Drinks, meals and accomodation)
Glenreagh General Store (Fuel, Coffee, Food, Groceries, Produce and Hay)
Glenreagh Bakery (Coffee, Sweet and Savoury Treats)
Post Office (Open weekdays)
Recreation Grounds (Camping, Equestrian Facilities)
Australia loves its “big” things, and in the Clarence Valley they have theirs right in the middle of Glenreagh. Come and have your photo taken with the Golden Dog, the beloved supersized smiling Dingo! Woof!
346 Shipmans Road, Glenreagh - turn directly off Orara Way onto Shipmans Road and travel approx 3.5km. Turn right into driveway, sign with club logo. Road is unsealed so please take your time and drive according to the conditions.
